Dr Margaret Chung

Dr Margaret Chung graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2007 with Bachelor of Science (Medicine), Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery. She worked in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital in Emergency Department, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Surgical and Psychiatry Unit, before being awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

With special interests in Women’s Health, she went on to obtain a National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors from Family Planning Alliance Australia. To cater for those seeking medical-grade beauty therapy, she further upskilled to provide laser therapy, radiofrequency (RF) therapy and HIFU to her patients. She further completed a Melanographer skin course at the Australasian College of Dermatologists and was trained by renowned skin cancer clinic to improve accuracy of the comprehensive full skin checks she offers for her patients.

Margaret founded Times GP to extend love and care to those around her. She is passionate about taking time to build personal connections with her team and patients. When not at work, she’s keen in serving her Church, Korean-POP dancing and reading widely. She also loves spending quality time with her husband Ken and 3 children – camping & fishing. She enjoys it when patients recommend good fishing spots and books to her!!

Dr Soo Cheun Phang

Dr Phang’s experience includes:

• Over 10 years working with both Queensland and New South Wales Health
• Worked as a surgical trainee for 6 years, which allowed him to gain in-depth knowledge of surgical and medical emergencies
• Spent a further 3 years in Emergency and Intensive Care Units as a Registrar.

Dr Phang’s special interests include general medicine, endoscopy, skin cancer surgery and minor surgical procedures. He is fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Malay.

Krysten Siu

Krysten is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a Diabetes Educator. She has published the journal article ‘Socio-Demographic Determinant of Diet Quality in Australian Adults Using the Validated HEIFA-2013’, which was also presented at the Healthcare Journal and the Dietitians Association of Australia conference.

As an APD, she has experience in providing dietary intervention on a variety of topics, including:

• Healthy eating
• Diabetes (type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes)
• Other chronic diseases management, such as cardiovascular diseases, gout, GORD
• Weight management
• Malnutrition
• Healthy pregnancy
• General child health

She also provides self-management education for people living with diabetes and their families/carers as a diabetes educator, such as:

• Providing education on diabetes knowledge
• Providing information and helping people to the most suitable glucose monitoring device
• Assisting and educating people on diabetes medication and insulin injection

The nutrition and dietetics information that Krysten delivers to her patients is evidence-based and is backed by science. Krysten is good at providing easy to understand information to her patients, with practical day-to-day applications to explain complex nutrition-related knowledge.

Having been born and raised in Hong Kong before coming to Australia to study when she was 15 years old, Krysten is familiar with both Chinese and Western diets. Being exceptionally experienced with patients of multi-cultural backgrounds, including Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, Krysten provides culturally appropriate diet advances and meal plans for her patients, who have different medical requirements.

Patients find Krysten a very loving and caring dietitian who can provide them with practical and realistic plans to achieve their targets.

Macy Kwan

Macy Kwan is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and founder of Soul Fruitful Dietetics. She is passionate to support individuals to achieve their health goals by providing high-quality health and nutrition counselling. Macy also actively involves in community services in Brisbane and was interviewed by Hong Kong TV broadcast media to deliver nutrition knowledge to the public.

Macy’s specialty includes the following topics:

She also has wide exposure to food cultures in the cities she lived in, including Hong Kong, USA, and Australia. That gives an advantage to her to tailor a care plan that fits your food culture. Sandy Wong

Chim Yuet WONG, Sandy completed Bachelor of Nursing at The University of Hong Kong. Then she had post-graduated diploma of Midwifery as further study. She has been a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife over 10 years. She worked in Baby-Friendly hospital in Hong Kong and studied ‘Normal birth: Evidence and Debate’ in University of Central Lancashire in United Kingdom in 2016.

With special interests in breastfeeding education, she has qualified as International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2018, and she is a member of Lactation Consultant of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ) that promoting and supporting breastfeeding. Sandy is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and Paediatric Massage Consultant. Infant massage helps to build rapport between parents, caregiver, and babies. Also provides interaction, stimulation, relief, and relaxation for babies and even help parents to boost their confidence of baby care.

Sandy believes that EVERYONE IS UNIQUE. She advocates to provide antenatal advice according to mothers’ own needs and circumstances. Other than providing antenatal care with GP, she also collaborates with private obstetrician that mainly focuses on antenatal educations including:

Sharon Lau

Sharon (Hang Yee) Lau is a highly experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBLC), Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse.

She has 10 years of hands-on experience working as a Lactation Consultant and Midwife, both in private and public hospitals in Hong Kong. She also enjoyed being an academic, educating other midwives and lactation consultants as a lecturer at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Sharon offers private sessions to support parents with any breastfeeding issues and assists in all aspects of providing newborn care to you and your family. She also runs regular Antenatal Classes for couples.
Sharon is a mother of 3 beautiful children and understands the joys and stress that motherhood can bring.

Hugo Cheung

Hugo Cheung grew up and studied high school in Hong Kong. He then came to Australia in 2016 and graduated with Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Griffith University.

Hugo can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. He is an easy going and friendly person who loves making friends with different cultural background and chatting with clients.

After 4 years of study in physiotherapy program, he found that he is enthusiasm in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and would like to well equip himself by learning different treatment techniques which combine Chinese and Western methods. He then finished his dry needling and clinical Pilates certificate and now he is able to provide dry needling and Pilates. Furthermore, he also applies fire cupping, joint mobilization and deep tissue massage to maximize the benefits of treatment and patient’s outcomes. As a physiotherapist, he always considers client as a number 1 position and attempts to satisfies your demands. in the past, Hugo has shadowed with Hong Kong physiotherapists in the public hospital in different wards, and he also has practiced his skills in Australian public hospitals.

He also volunteered as a sport coach in FC Olympic football team in Australia in 2020 to provide first aid services. In his leisure time, he is an active person who loves weight lifting in the gym, playing basketball and badminton.

Martin Ip

Martin was born in Hong Kong and attended high school in Shanghai and England before coming to Australia to study Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Queensland. Having a multicultural background, he speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin fluently. The joy of seeing clients achieve their goals after working hard together is what he loves most about his job.  He is skilled in manual therapy, pain relief, face & hip adjustment, and exercise therapy. He also performs fire cupping and dry needling for a variety of conditions.

Martin has participated in various physiotherapy settings since high school, including private clinics of different styles (combination of Chinese medicine or sports science), sports rehabilitation centres and hospitals in Hong Kong, England and Australia. In these settings, he had the opportunity to work in different fields such as cardiorespiratory and neurological rehabilitation. With previous experience and knowledge, his expertise includes but not limited to musculoskeletal conditions, chest physiotherapy, post-op rehabilitation, whiplash injuries, headaches, chronic neck and back pain, etc.

Martin’s passion is to develop a tailored, individualized treatment plan for every patient, which can integrate well into their lives and help them to manage their condition and prevent future injury. He is constantly learning new concepts and techniques, then experiments with himself, to understand more about body mechanics, and to improve his skills. Martin lives an active lifestyle, he enjoys weightlifting, badminton, tennis, and combat sports.

Gigi Cheung

Gigi is born and raised in Hong Kong. She obtained her bachelor, honours and masters qualification in Psychology from the University of Queensland. She is a registered psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Since becoming a psychologist, Gigi was offered a job at the World Wellness Health and Medical Clinic to provide assessment and psychological therapy to individuals and families of the CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) background. These clients mainly consist of refugees and migrants who suffer from complex trauma, emotional stress as well as other psychosocial challenges. Gigi has therefore gained extensive experience working with this population within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, doctors, humanitarian lawyers, interpreters and multicultural support workers.

Currently, Gigi mainly works with individual adult clients who suffer from conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders. The evidence-based interventions which she uses include cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as eye-movement desensitization reprocessing therapy. Gigi likes to adopt a person-centered and reflective-based approach to help her clients gain inner awareness and healthy coping strategies.

Gigi can speak, write and read proficiently in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Bonnie Chan

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Bonnie speaks native English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Nearly 10 years of extensive clinical experience in public and private settings across Hong Kong, Brisbane, Gold Coast and North Queensland has shaped Bonnie’s expertise in early childhood development, as well as her respect for cultural diversity and the importance of an inclusive learning environment.

Bonnie specialises in boosting children’s early speech and language development, with a keen focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals, including children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her goal is to maximise every child’s potential and support them towards social and academic success through collaborating closely with parents and other professionals as a cohesive team, ensuring holistic care tailored to each family’s needs.

As the visionary founder of Teddy Talk Speech Pathology, Bonnie offers not only regular consultations, she is passionate about educating and empowering bilingual Chinese-speaking families in nurturing their children’s bilingual development within an English-speaking environment, preserving their sense of identity and belonging to their families’ cultural and linguistic heritage.

When not at work, Bonnie is fully engaged in the community through teaching yoga for charity. She embraces an active lifestyle, from high-intensity workouts and weightlifting to the tranquillity of hiking and scuba-diving.

Ben Leung

Ben is a Registered Nurse who completed his studies in Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Paramedic Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He was born and raised in Brisbane. He loves the relaxing laidback side of Brisbane, yet is always ready to face any challenges he is faced with.

Ben has a heart for his patients. He enjoys building connections with his patients through patiently listening to them, to understand their needs. Ben likes to not only help his patients but also to be alongside them in their journey to recovery.

In his spare time, he leads a local group called “Boys Brigade”, mentoring boys to become good men. He also loves the great outdoors but is also a casual gamer.

Ally Chow

Ally completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Queensland. She is interested in assisting in minor surgical procedures such as skin lesion excisions and in delivering wound care.

She is fluent in three languages and finds this useful in her delivery of more patient-centred care – helping patients feel more comfortable and at ease in a clinical setting.

She is also a people person. She loves meeting new people and sharing her funny life stories with them. She loves talking to people from all walks of life, as she believes everyone has their own story to tell and there is always something she can learn from it.

Ally loves nature. So, in her free time, her favourite weekend activities include hiking and driving to various national parks across South-East Queensland and to the countryside. Ally is also a foodie who loves going around and exploring good restaurants across Brisbane, and sometimes even to Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Esther Lee

Esther graduated from the University of Queensland with a Master of Nursing Studies. She has experience in various clinical settings such as hospitals, aged care and the community. She has a keen interest in minor surgical procedures and in the management of acute and chronic illnesses. She is passionate about providing high-quality patient-centred care and in building therapeutic nurse-patient relationships.

Esther is an active person, and she loves playing volleyball for leisure and competitively. She spends her weekends practising her volleyball skills and playing in tournaments. She loves her work-life balance, she enjoys catching up with her friends. Esther is a caring person who strives to share her love and care with people around her.

Ken is the Managing Director of Times GP. He is also the Principal Solicitor and Director of Times Lawyers.

With a deep passion of reaching out to the community to provide love and care, Ken focuses on the strategic business governance, the promotional development and operational management of Times GP.

Ken strives to build a strong internal relationship and spirit within the team of the medical centre, in order for Times GP to provide the well-deserved love and warmth to our patients. At the same time, Ken stretches his hand out to the community to diagnose the needs (both medical and legal!) of our people, and hope to in turn offer positivity, empowerment and excellence back to the community (you).

Family is a fundamental unit forming the society, therefore looking after his family is one of the top priorities for Ken. Spending quality time with his wife and his 3 children is the happiest thing to do, and that can mean fishing together, playing board games together or just chill together, as a family.

Ken also enjoys reading, playing tennis and training in karate.
